Real Madrid v Sevilla: how to watch the game

Written by By Gabriela Arellano, CNN La Liga

Real Madrid will be looking to extend their winning run in La Liga to a record 11 games in a highly anticipated La Liga derby match-up against Sevilla on Friday evening.

While Real are going through a mixed patch of form, Sevilla are enjoying a mixed run of their own and are also chasing their first win of the season.

Where they find success, however, is very much in question. Real’s star-studded front three is arguably looking shaky compared to Sevilla’s unpredictable back line.

Here is what you need to know ahead of the match:

Who are they?

Real Madrid is a world football team of over 100 million and has been consistently a force in international competition. Sevilla meanwhile has aspirations to develop a reliable side capable of winning La Liga and Champions League.

The two clubs have even played each other once before. Sevilla qualified for the UEFA Champions League after beating Real Madrid 4-3 on aggregate in the second-leg of their UEFA Europa League semifinal meeting in 2015.

So when is it?

The match kicks off at 7:45 p.m. local time, which is a 2:45 p.m. Eastern time start.
