NFL roundup: Danny Amendola, Kony Ealy, T.J. Manuel miss second straight practice

Danny Amendola, Kony Ealy and Stephen Gostkowski all missed their second consecutive practices on Tuesday as the New England Patriots prepared for Thursday’s Super Bowl rematch with the Seattle Seahawks.

Chris Hogan, Eric Rowe and T.J. Manuel also missed a second straight practice due to nagging injuries, but as expected they were limited participants in the session. Hogan and Rowe are both battling knee injuries.

The Patriots placed defensive end Trey Flowers and offensive tackle LaAdrian Waddle on injured reserve on Monday, which opens up two practice roster spots. New England might take that opportunity and sign Sam Burns, a player the Patriots worked out earlier this season and tried out Tuesday.

Flowers’s injury opened a spot on the roster for wide receiver Kenny Britt, who signed last month. Britt played with the Patriots last season and played nine games, making 17 catches for 151 yards and one touchdown.
