Rep. John Lewis puts on a Black Friday sales event called ‘the dream,’ and here’s how you can join it

Rep. John Lewis came together with other prominent Democrats to hold a Black Friday sales event just in time for the Thanksgiving season — and the sale is here.

The event, which also marks the 25th anniversary of the successful Million Man March, calls on Black Friday shoppers to hit “center right” and buy their holiday goods from well-known retailers like Nike, Project Runway and Sundance Now. Lewis, who spoke at last weekend’s protest for justice for Trayvon Martin, in addition to condemning the Trump administration’s first wave of executive orders on immigration, mentioned the Black Friday 2020 sale in a statement.

“In the past, the people that had been out there promoting Martin Luther King’s words and his dream and his mission carried the day,” Lewis said. “We have a new spirit now of people who are expressing their pride and participation in being a part of the dream, and that’s why I think we’re going to have a moment like we never had before.”
